The Honduran Social Investment Fund promotes local development providing social and productive infrastructure to rural areas and urban support in small and medium-sized cities by implementing the Poverty Reduction Strategy to benefit the poor and the vulnerable. The Strategy implements participative and inclusive methodologies to benefit human and social capital and works closely with municipal governments faced with the challenges of the new millennia.
