Over time, the member institutions have grown to 35 and have gone from proposing temporary projects to being immersed in the national strategies to combat poverty, focusing on the broader objective of laying the foundation for public policies in the long term.
Presently, the Social Network member countries are still in need of diverse technical cooperation mechanisms to finance their national and local initiatives to combat poverty, facilitate the inclusion of vulnerable groups and create social cohesion. The starting point has been to take advantage of the innovative processes already underway in the region, making use of the ample spectrum of communication and training tools offered by new technologies in a globalized world.
