In its beginnings, the Social Network was composed of 13 member institutions whose national tasks were oriented towards the construction of basic social infrastructure in order to compensate for the legacy of devastation caused by the economic adjustment programs of the 1980’s.

Over time, the member institutions have grown to 35 and have gone from proposing temporary projects to being immersed in the national strategies to combat poverty, focusing on the broader objective of laying the foundation for public policies in the long term.

Presently, the Social Network member countries are still in need of diverse technical cooperation mechanisms to finance their national and local initiatives to combat poverty, facilitate the inclusion of vulnerable groups and create social cohesion. The starting point has been to take advantage of the innovative processes already underway in the region, making use of the ample spectrum of communication and training tools offered by new technologies in a globalized world.

Provided below is information about each of the REDLAC member institutions, with access to their individual web pages where further information about their backgrounds, missions and objectives can be accessed.
