
A reunion in which high-ranking REDLAC officers of the member institutions meet. One of the regional nations hosts the conference (in the framework of the previous yearly meeting).
Main Objectives
1. Analyze the strategic topics in social development and poverty which are most relevant to the tasks developed by the participating institutions during the year.
2. Update the regulatory framework and sanction new members.
3. Approve tasks developed by the Coordination Committee, the Technical Secretariat and the Subcommittees (if necessary).
4. Set forth an annual Work Plan and issue guidelines for cooperation policies in the framework of the Declaration which is issued as a final document, sanctioned by all members.
5. Choose a Coordinating Committee and a Site for the following year’s Conference.
Issues and Attributes
1. Allow for open dialogue amongst members and analyze the developments achieved to overcome poverty in the Region in addition to presenting innovative experiences.
2. Evaluate the Report set forth by the coordinating body on the social network Annual Work Plan.
3. Approve the Work Plan, activities, resources and topics.
4. Define convenient actions in matters related to network member contributions and attract funds from domestic, bilateral or multilateral sources to comply with the activities set forth on the Annual Work Plan.
5. Choose members of the Coordinating Committee and the host country for the next conference.
6. Link the social network to the beneficiaries, the international NGOs, organizations or agencies involved in combating poverty.
